Acceptance, Autonomy, and Authenticity Practitioner

I had a bit of a light bulb moment a few years ago when I took my son in for his ADHD assessment. Sitting there with him, I realised I myself ticked all those boxes along with my son. Soon after, I received my own diagnosis, and everything about myself and my past suddenly made perfect sense. For me personally, it was definitely a relief getting a diagnosis, and helped me gain clarity and understanding of myself. I like my busy ADHD mind, I like being creative, being able to think outside of the box, I'm never bored.

My longest passion has been drawing and painting. I have loved doing art and being creative since I could hold a crayon. That has branched off to other creative interests like fashion design and sewing, upholstery, sculpturing and metal casting (pouring litres of melted metal is like playing with lava, so much fun).

Alongside my creative hobbies, I have always had an interest in the human mind and psychology, ever since first studying psychology in high school (I still have my old psych textbook from high school!).
My latest hyperfocus has been yowies. I have gone down a lot of rabbit holes trying to find out more about Yowies. There are lots of old Aboriginal stories about them too.

I've also chatted to some locals who live on or near the mountains, and it seems everyone has some stories to tell.

My 'go to' for regulating my emotions are drawing, playing with my dog, walking or listening to music and dancing (at home, so definitely dancing like no one's watching).

I am located on the Gold Coast, but I regularly travel to Brisbane. Happy to also travel to Ipswich, so quite a wide area that I can cover and do home visits as well.
I love meeting and working with so many interesting people. Every day is different, which keeps the role engaging and meaningful. I really value the opportunity to understand the reasons behind behaviours and to work alongside clients, families, and support teams to find strategies that genuinely improve quality of life. It’s incredibly rewarding to support people and their networks to reframe behaviours as communication and to develop more supportive, person-centred approaches. I’m always hoping to have a positive and meaningful impact on my clients’ and families’ lives.
