Acceptance, Autonomy, and Authenticity Practitioner

In my early 20s, I also realised that I have ADHD, which helped a lot of things about myself finally make sense, especially within acadmic areas. Understanding my own neurodivergence has been really empowering and has shaped how I approach supporting and connecting with others.

My long-term passion has always been helping people. I’ve always known I wanted to support others emotionally and mentally rather than in a medical or physical care role, which led me to studying Social Work. A big motivator for me has been wanting to be the kind of support system that I wish I had when I was younger. Someone who listens, understands, and helps people feel less alone in what they’re going through.

Really bad reality TV! I’m obsessed with anything involving rich women arguing or rich people causing chaos on a boat. It’s my favourite way to slow my ADHD brain down and switch off after a long day.

I also love anything related to Japan or anime. I’m a nerd at heart and really enjoy pop culture.

Keeping physically busy helps me regulate the most. If I’m feeling overwhelmed, I often get the urge to clean or reorganise the house, which helps me reset mentally. I also love going to spin classes because they give me a chance to completely switch off and clear my mind. I primarily provide services in person both in homes and in the community within the Gold Coast area.

Starting as a previous placement student, I’ve really appreciated the opportunities IAU has given me to grow and develop in an area I’m passionate about. Being able to learn, build my skills, and work in a field I genuinely love has been incredibly rewarding while being supported by a community of neuro-diverse people with a great level of experience.
